Many
ask us in which hotel category we are. The answer is: Mauritius
does not have any official classification.
We do realise however that our star rating is important to you as
it may shape your expectations of standard and service and ultimately
may direct your decision making.
At Ocean Villas, we have
preferred to ask our in-house guests (surveyed since Jan 2004) to
rate us, based on their perception of comfort, amenities and facilities
provided and quality of service offered.
And they rate us as a 3 star hotel.
We do not wish to be a luxury property (there are too many in Mauritius)
but we consider ourselves to be a good quality and maintained bungalow
holiday complex offering hotel services in a friendly and yet professional
environment. Our guests come mainly from Europe, Scandinavia, Emirates
& South Africa.
